Ingredients

Directions

  1. Cut the pork across the grain into thin, narrow strips.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the pork, 1 tablespoon of teriyaki sauce, and 1/8 teaspoon of crushed red pepper. Set aside to marinate briefly.
  3. In another small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch, remaining 3 tablespoons of teriyaki sauce, vinegar, and 1 cup of water until smooth. Set aside.
  4. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
  5. Add the marinated pork to the hot wok and stir-fry for about 2 minutes until cooked through. Remove the pork from the wok and set aside.
  6. Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of oil to the wok, then add the onion chunks. Stir-fry for 2 minutes until slightly softened.
  7. Add the sliced radishes and julienned zucchini to the wok. Stir-fry for 1 minute until crisp-tender.
  8. Return the cooked pork to the wok. Pour in the teriyaki sauce mixture.
  9. Cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce boils and thickens, coating all ingredients evenly.
  10. Arrange the shredded lettuce on a serving platter. Spoon the warm spicy pork and vegetable mixture over the lettuce bed. Serve immediately.

Note

For best results, ensure the pork is sliced thinly against the grain to ensure tenderness.

You can adjust the heat level by increasing the amount of crushed red pepper to 1/4 teaspoon if you prefer a spicier dish.

This dish is best served immediately while the stir-fry components are still warm and the lettuce is crisp.

If you do not have Kikkoman Teriyaki Sauce, you can substitute with any high-quality teriyaki sauce or make your own with soy sauce, mirin, and sugar.
