Description

This homemade jerky is made from Flank steak or London. Slice the meat thin, marinate for several hours, then dry in the oven for a protein-packed, on-the-go snack.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Trim any fat from the meat and slice into thin, uniform strips (Flank steak or London).
  2. Combine the marinade ingredients in a bowl.
  3. Place the meat strips in a resealable bag with the marinade. Refrigerate for 4-24 hours, turning occasionally.
  4. Preheat the oven to 150-170°F (65-75°C) with the door slightly ajar.
  5. Arrange the meat strips on a wire rack over a baking sheet, in a single layer.
  6. Dry for 2-4 hours, or until leathery but still slightly flexible.
  7. Cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
