Description

This decadent Tin Roof Cheesecake is a show-stopping dessert that combines a buttery, peanut-studded graham cracker crust with an incredibly rich and creamy cheese filling. The batter is swirled with warm chocolate sauce or hot fudge, creating beautiful ribbons of chocolate throughout the dense, custard-like cake. Finished with a sprinkle of chopped peanuts and an extra drizzle of fudge, it offers a perfect balance of sweet, nutty, and chocolatey flavors. Ideal for birthdays, holidays, or any special occasion where you want to impress guests, this cheesecake has a luxurious texture that melts in your mouth. Allow time for proper chilling to set the flavors and achieve the perfect slice.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350&# 194;°F (175ðC). Wrap the bottom and sides of a 10-inch springform pan with foil to prevent water leakage if using a water bath, or simply prepare the pan according to your oven's requirements.
  2. In a bowl, combine the crushed graham crackers, 1 cup chopped peanuts, 1/3 cup sugar, and 5 tablespoons melted butter. Mix until the crumbs are evenly moistened.
  3. Press the crumb mixture firmly and evenly into the bottom and up the sides of the prepared springform pan to form the crust.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, beat 32 oz of good quality cream cheese until it is smooth, light, and free of lumps.
  5. Add 1/2 cup sugar to the cream cheese and beat again until well combined and creamy.
  6. Add 5 jumbo eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition until just incorporated. Avoid overmixing to prevent excess air bubbles.
  7. Fold in 1/2 cup unwhipped whipping cream, 1/4 cup cornstarch, and any desired vanilla extract or cake mix flavoring. Mix until smooth and uniform.
  8. Stir in an additional 1/2 cup of chopped peanuts if desired for extra crunch in the filling.
  9. Pour the cheesecake batter into the prepared crust, spreading it evenly.
  10. Drop spoonfuls of 1/2 cup chocolate sauce or hot fudge over the top of the batter. Use a knife or skewer to gently swirl the sauce into the batter, creating a marbled effect.
  11. Place the springform pan into a larger roasting pan. Fill the roasting pan with hot water until it reaches halfway up the sides of the springform pan to create a water bath.
  12. Bake for approximately 1 hour, or until the edges are firm but the center still has a slight jiggle when gently shaken.
  13. Turn off the oven and crack the oven door open slightly. Let the cheesecake cool in the oven for 1 hour to prevent cracking.
  14. Before the cake fully cools, run a thin knife around the edge of the cake to loosen it from the pan sides. This helps prevent cracking as it contracts during cooling.
  15. Remove from the water bath and cool completely at room temperature. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to set.
  16. Before serving, top with additional chocolate sauce and chopped peanuts. Slice and serve cold.
