Ingredients

Directions

  1. Rinse a 1-quart heart-shaped mold under cold water and set aside; do not dry.
  2. Sprinkle the unflavored gelatin over 1/4 cup of cold water in a small bowl and let soak for 5 minutes until softened.
  3. In a small saucepan, combine the skim milk and granulated sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  4. Remove the saucepan from heat. Add the softened gelatin mixture to the warm milk and stir vigorously until the gelatin is fully dissolved.
  5. Pour the gelatin-milk mixture into a large mixing bowl and let it cool at room temperature for about 5 minutes.
  6. Stir in the plain yogurt and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  7. Carefully pour the yogurt mixture into the rinsed heart-shaped mold.
  8. Refrigerate the mold for at least 2 hours, or until the yogurt mixture is completely set.
  9. To unmold, briefly dip the bottom of the mold in warm water for a few seconds. Shake gently and invert onto a serving plate.
  10. Spoon the strawberry coulis around the base of the yogurt heart and garnish with fresh strawberries.
