Description

These baked Crab Rangoons offer a lighter, healthier twist on the classic Chinese-American appetizer. The filling combines sweet, flaky crab meat with tangy cream cheese, green onions, and garlic for a rich and savory bite. Wrapped in delicate wonton skins and baked until golden brown, they provide a satisfying crunch without the mess of deep frying. Perfect for parties, game days, or as an elegant starter for dinner parties, these bites are easy to assemble and always a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425&# 194;°F (220ðC) and lightly spray a baking sheet with vegetable cooking spray.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, drained crab meat, thinly sliced green onions (including tops), minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and lite soy sauce.
  3. Mix the ingredients thoroughly until the filling is smooth and well-blended.
  4. Lay out one wonton skin at a time on a clean surface, keeping the rest covered with a damp towel to prevent drying.
  5. Place 1 teaspoon of the crab mixture in the center of each wonton skin.
  6. Fold the bottom corner up to meet the top corner, then fold the left and right corners inward to form a triangle, pressing edges firmly to seal.
  7. Arrange the sealed rangoon on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each piece.
  8. Lightly spray the tops of the rangoon with vegetable coating spray.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the wonton skins are golden brown and crispy.
  10. Remove from oven and serve immediately with sweet-and-sour sauce or mustard sauce for dipping.
