Tarantoor is best served immediately but can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Stir well before serving as separation may occur.
If the sauce becomes too thick, add more cold water, one teaspoon at a time, until desired consistency is reached. If too thin, add a small amount of tahini.
For a milder flavor, reduce the amount of garlic. For extra richness, a teaspoon of olive oil can be whisked in at the end.
