Note
For a smokier flavor, you can smoke the ribs on a grill over indirect heat after boiling, then apply the sauce during the last 15 minutes of cooking.
If using a microwave to pre-cook the ribs: Place 1.5 lbs of ribs in a 12x7-inch shallow baking dish. Add 1/4 cup water. Cover with vented plastic wrap. Microwave on high for 5 minutes. Reduce to medium power and cook for 7 minutes. Turn ribs over and cook covered on medium power for 7 more minutes. Repeat with remaining ribs before proceeding to the saucing step.
Leftover ribs should be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350&# 194;°F until warmed through.
To make this recipe gluten-free, ensure your Worcestershire sauce and ketchup are certified gluten-free brands.
For extra heat, increase the hot pepper sauce to 1/4 teaspoon or add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
