  2. Combine the rinsed rice and liquid in a medium saucepan.
  3. Place the saucepan over high heat and bring the mixture to a boil.

  7. Stir in the cooked chicken (or turkey) and frozen peas.

Brown rice takes longer to cook than white rice. If you prefer white rice, reduce the simmering time to about 15-20 minutes and add the vegetables later in the process to prevent them from becoming too soft.
