Description

This hearty dish features halved bell peppers stuffed with a savory mixture of smoked sausage, crab, crawfish, and cooked rice. Seasoned with file powder, garlic, and Cajun spices, it offers a robust and flavorful appetizer or main course. The peppers are baked until tender, topped with bread crumbs for a crisp finish.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. x Salt and pepper x Olive oil x Bread crumbs Heat oil.
  2. Add sausage, veggies and bay leaf.
  3. Cook 5 minutes.
  4. Add file, green onions, parsley and tomatoes.
  5. Simmer 20 minutes.
  6. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
  7. Put mix into bell peppers.
  8. Top with crumbs.
  9. Drizzle oil on top.
  10. Bake at 400~ for 20 to 25 minutes.
  11. Can be served with a tomato sauce on top.
  12. (NOTE-This seems like it would make a lot more stuffing than for 3 peppers)
