  1. Heat the salad oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the pork chops and cook until browned on both sides.
  3. Stir in the brown sugar, cider vinegar, salt, cinnamon, and 1 cup of water.
  4. Reduce heat to low, cover the skillet, and simmer for 40 minutes, or until the pork chops are fork-tender.
