Description

A comforting and savory casserole featuring flaked tuna, fresh mushrooms, and green beans in a creamy cheese sauce. Topped with browned buttered breadcrumbs, this dish is baked until bubbly and golden. It is a satisfying weeknight meal that serves four and makes excellent use of pantry staples.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. In a large saucepan, bring water and bouillon to a boil, stirring to dissolve.
  2. Add the next eight ingredients; return to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 5 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
  4. Dissolve corn starch in milk; add to the vegetable mixture, stirring constantly.
  5. Bring to a boil; boil 2 minutes or until thickened.
  6. Remove from the heat; stir in Swiss cheese and mayonnaise until cheese is melted.
  7. Fold in noodles and flaked tuna.
  8. Pour into a greased 2-1/2 quart baking dish.
  9. Brown bread crumbs in butter.
  10. Sprinkle on top of casserole.
  11. Bake, uncovered, at 350 for 25-30 minutes or until heated through
