  1. Heat 3 tablespoons of butter in a medium skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the finely chopped shallots and cook until soft and translucent, but not browned.
  3. Stir in the sliced mushrooms and cook for a few minutes until they release their moisture and begin to brown.
