  1. Ounce 1/2 c Butter or margarine -- 1/4 c Warm water -- 110/115 deg.
  2. Softened 1 c Warm milk -- ll0/115 deg.
  3. tb Orange
  4. peel -- grated 1/4 c Shortening GLAZE: 1/4 c Sugar 1 c Confectioners' sugar 1 ts Salt 4 ts Butter or margarine -- 1 ea Egg -- lightly beaten Softened 3 3/4 c All-purpose flour 5 ts Milk FILLING: 1/2 ts Lemon extract In a small bowl,
  5. dissolve yeast in water.
  6. In a large mixing bowl, mix milk, shortening, sugar, salt and egg.
  7. Add yeast mixture and blend.
  8. Stir in enough flour to form a soft dough.
  9. Knead on a lightly floured board until smooth and elastic, about 6-8 minutes,
  10. Place in a greased bowl, turning once to
  11. grease top.
  12. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour.
  13. Punch dough down; divide in half.
  14. Roll each half into l5-in.
