Ingredients

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375&# 194;°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a large cookie sheet or line it with parchment paper.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, orange marmalade, and raisins; blend until smooth and well mixed.
  4. Separate the biscuit dough into 20 individual biscuits.
  5. Press or roll each biscuit into a 4-inch circle on a lightly floured surface.
  6. Spoon 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture onto the center of 10 of the biscuit circles.
  7. Top each filled biscuit with a remaining plain biscuit circle.
  8. Press the edges together with a fork to seal the filling inside.
  9. Cut five 1/2-inch slits, spaced about 1 inch apart, around one side of each biscuit to resemble a bear claw.
  10. In a small bowl, combine the sliced almonds and sugar.
  11. Dip the top of each biscuit into the orange juice, then sprinkle generously with the almond-sugar mixture.
  12. Place the prepared biscuits on the greased cookie sheet.
  13. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.
  14. Cool on the sheet for 1 minute, then remove to a wire rack.
  15. Allow to cool for an additional 10 minutes before serving.
