Ingredients

Directions

  1. Melt the butter and unsweetened chocolate together in a heatproof bowl over simmering water or in the microwave. Let the mixture cool slightly.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with one egg until smooth. Set this mixture aside.
  3. Beat the remaining 3 eggs into the cooled chocolate mixture. Add the sugar and flour, mixing until just combined.
  4. Pour half of the chocolate batter into an ungreased 9" x 13" baking pan.
  5. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the chocolate batter. Dollop the raspberry preserves over the cream cheese layer.
  6. Spread the remaining chocolate batter on top. For a marbled effect, gently pull a knife through the batter in a few places to create swirls.
  7. Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. If using whole wheat flour, baking time may extend up to 1 hour. Allow to cool completely before cutting.

Note

Storage: Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or in the refrigerator for up to a week.

Variations: You can substitute the raspberry preserves with other fruit preserves like strawberry or blueberry for a different flavor profile.

Tips: For a richer flavor, use high-quality chocolate. Ensure the cream cheese is fully softened for a smoother texture.

Whole Wheat Note: If using whole wheat flour, expect a denser texture and potentially longer baking time.
