Carnivore Bacon Cheeseburger Patties
Description
All the satisfying parts of a bacon cheeseburger without the bun or plant-based toppings. Fatty beef patties are cooked in bacon fat and finished with melted cheddar and crisp streaky bacon for a rich carnivore-friendly meal.Ingredients
Directions
-
Divide the minced beef into four equal portions and gently shape each portion into a thick patty.
-
Season both sides of the patties lightly with salt.
-
Place the bacon in a large frying pan and cook until crisp.
-
Remove the bacon from the pan and keep it warm, leaving the rendered bacon fat in the pan.
-
Increase the heat to medium-high and add the beef patties.
-
Cook for approximately 4 minutes on the first side without pressing down on the patties.
-
Turn and cook for another 3 to 4 minutes or until cooked to preference.
-
Divide the cheddar between the patties during the final minute of cooking and allow it to melt.
-
Top each patty with crisp bacon and serve immediately.
Note
Avoid repeatedly pressing the patties while cooking because this forces out rendered fat and meat juices.
For strict carnivore eating, check the bacon ingredients and choose a variety without added sugar where possible.
The cheese can be omitted for a dairy-free version.
