It&# 226;ÂÂs a simple yet impressive way to enjoy classic flavors with a playful twist.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Scoop the vanilla ice cream into eight equal-sized balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Freeze for at least 30 minutes until very firm.
  2. While the ice cream freezes, mix the graham cracker crumbs and chopped walnuts in a shallow dish.
  3. In a separate shallow dish, beat the egg whites lightly with a fork.
  4. Take one frozen ice cream ball and quickly roll it in the almond paste, coating it completely.
  5. Dip the almond-coated ball into the beaten egg whites, ensuring it is fully covered.
  6. Roll the wet ball in the graham cracker and walnut mixture, pressing gently to adhere the coating.
  7. Place the coated ball back on the baking sheet and freeze for another 15 minutes to set the coating. Repeat with remaining ice cream balls.
  8. Heat the vegetable oil in a heavy pot or deep fryer to 375ðF (190ðC).
  9. Carefully lower two to three ice cream balls into the hot oil. Fry for about 10-15 seconds until golden brown, turning once. Do not overcook or the ice cream will melt.
  10. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Serve immediately topped with vanilla sauce and a sprig of mint.
