  1. Chop 1 cup celery into 1/2-inch pieces, 1 cup onion into 1/2-inch pieces, and mince 2 garlic cloves.
  2. In the bottom of a slow cooker, combine the undrained navy beans, tomato juice, chopped carrots, celery, onion, minced garlic, 2 bay leaves, chicken bouillon granules, dried basil, and dried oregano. Stir to mix evenly.
  3. Place 8 skinned, frozen chicken drumsticks on top of the bean and vegetable mixture.
  4. Cut the 8 oz smoked turkey sausage link in half lengthwise, then slice into rounds or half-moons.
  5. Arrange the sliced sausage on top of the chicken drumsticks.
  6. Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 10-12 hours or on HIGH for 5-6 hours, until the chicken is tender and falls off the bone.
  7. Remove and discard the bay leaves before serving.
