Ingredients

Directions

  1. Line an 8-inch square pan with aluminum foil, ensuring the foil extends over the edges of the pan for easy removal later.
  2. Measure the REESE'S peanut butter chips into one medium-sized bowl and the HERSHEY'S semi-sweet chocolate chips into a second medium-sized bowl.
  3. In a heavy 3-quart saucepan, combine the sugar, marshmallow creme, evaporated milk, and butter.
  4. Cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it comes to a full boil.
  5. Once boiling, continue to cook and stir the mixture for exactly 5 minutes.
  6. Remove the saucepan from the heat and immediately stir in the vanilla extract.
  7. Immediately pour half of the hot mixture (approximately 1 1/2 cups) into the bowl with the peanut butter chips.
  8. Stir the peanut butter mixture vigorously until the chips are completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
  9. Quickly pour the peanut butter mixture into the prepared foil-lined pan and spread it evenly to the corners.
  10. Pour the remaining half of the hot mixture into the bowl with the semi-sweet chocolate chips.
  11. Stir the chocolate mixture until the chips are completely melted and smooth.
  12. Quickly spread the chocolate mixture over the top of the peanut butter layer, covering it completely.
  13. Allow the fudge to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for 1 1/2 hours or until firm.
  14. Lift the fudge out of the pan using the foil overhang and cut into 1-inch squares.
  15. Store the fudge tightly covered in the refrigerator to maintain freshness.
