Description

This refreshing Dri-Mai-Tai is a perfect summer mocktail that mimics the complexity of a classic Mai Tai without the alcohol. It combines the bright acidity of fresh-squeezed lemon and lime juices with the sweet-tart depth of orange and pineapple juices. A splash of grenadine adds a beautiful red hue and a hint of cherry sweetness, while club soda provides a crisp, effervescent finish. The crushed ice ensures the drink is thoroughly chilled and smooth. Ideal for potlucks, brunches, or a relaxing afternoon at home, this beverage is easy to assemble and universally appealing. Garnished with an orange wheel and maraschino cherry, it looks as sophisticated as it tastes.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Add the fresh-squeezed orange juice, lime juice, lemon juice, pineapple juice, grenadine syrup, simple syrup, and crushed ice into a blender.
  2. Blend on high speed until the ice is fully crushed and the mixture is smooth and frothy.
  3. Pour the blended mixture into a tall glass.
  4. Top off the glass with club soda to add fizz.
  5. Thread an orange cartwheel slice and a maraschino cherry onto a long wooden skewer.
  6. Place the skewer in the glass as a garnish and serve immediately.
  7. For simple syrup: In a small saucepan, combine 2 cups of sugar and 1 cup of water.
  8. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  9. Reduce heat and simmer gently for 5 minutes.
  10. Remove from heat and let cool. The syrup makes about 2 cups.
  11. Store the simple syrup in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to six months.
