Ingredients

Directions

  1. Cut the top third off one honeydew melon using a deep zigzag pattern to create a lid.
  2. Cover and refrigerate the top portion to use later if desired.
  3. Remove seeds from the larger section of the melon and scoop out melon balls; reserve these balls.
  4. Use a large spoon to scoop remaining pulp from the melon to form a shell, leaving about 1/2-inch thick walls; drain the shell.
  5. Repeat the scooping process with the second honeydew melon to create a second shell.
  6. Cut a thin slice from the bottom of each shell so they sit flat and do not tip over.
  7. Cover the hollowed shells and refrigerate for up to 24 hours if preparing ahead.
  8. Cut the cantaloupes into bite-size pieces.
  9. In a large bowl, combine the reserved honeydew melon balls, pineapple pieces, red grapes, green grapes, and cantaloupe pieces.
  10. Cover the fruit mixture and refrigerate for up to 24 hours to chill thoroughly.
  11. Just before serving, divide the chilled fruit mixture evenly between the honeydew shells.
