Honey Newtons
Description
These unique Honey Newtons offer a delightful twist on traditional fruit sandwiches by incorporating savory cheddar cheese into the buttery dough. The result is a sophisticated cookie that balances the tartness of dried figs and lemon juice with the richness of honey and sharp cheddar. The filling simmers into a thick, marmalade-like jam that complements the crisp, golden crust. Perfect for afternoon tea, holiday gatherings, or as an elegant dessert pairing, these cookies showcase the perfect harmony of sweet and salty flavors. They are surprisingly easy to make using pantry staples, yet impressive enough to serve as a show-stopping treat for any occasion.Ingredients
