Ingredients

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly roast pecan pieces on a baking sheet for approximately 8 minutes, or until fragrant.
  2. While pecans are warm, stir in 1 tablespoon of melted butter and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Set aside.
  3. Spray a bundt pan very liberally with non-stick cooking spray. Sprinkle about 1/4 cup of the toasted pecans into the bottom of the pan.
  4. In a small bowl, stir together the cinnamon, granulated sugar, and brown sugar to form the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  5. Separate the frozen dinner rolls. Roll each frozen roll individually in the cinnamon-sugar mixture, coating thoroughly.
  6. Place half of the coated rolls into the prepared bundt pan, arranging them in a circle.
  7. Sprinkle 3/4 of the remaining toasted pecans over the first layer of rolls.
  8. Top with the remaining half of the cinnamon-coated rolls.
  9. Sprinkle the remaining toasted pecans and the dry butterscotch pudding mix evenly over the top layer of rolls.
  10. Cut the remaining butter into small cubes and dot them over the top of the rolls.
  11. Cover the pan loosely with waxed paper or plastic wrap. Place in a cool spot on the counter and let rise overnight (about 8-12 hours). The dough will rise out of the pan.
  12. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  13. Allow to cool in the pan for about 5 minutes. Invert onto a serving platter to unmold. Serve warm.

Note

Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. Reheat in the microwave for 10-15 seconds for best texture.

Ingredient Substitutions: If you don't have butterscotch pudding mix, you can omit it and add an extra tablespoon of cinnamon for a classic cinnamon roll flavor.

Tips: Ensure the bundt pan is extremely well-greased to prevent sticking. The overnight rise is key for the flavor development and texture; do not skip this step.

Variation: For a sweeter glaze, mix powdered sugar with a little milk and drizzle over the ring after it has cooled slightly.
