This Kapok Tree Planter’s Punch is a sophisticated take on the classic Caribbean drink, blending three distinct types of rum for a complex flavor profile. The base of fresh orange and pineapple juices provides a sweet, tropical foundation, while lime juice adds a necessary sharp acidity to balance the spirits. A splash of grenadine creates a beautiful gradient effect, reminiscent of a sunset. This cocktail is perfect for warm summer evenings or as a celebratory toast. It strikes an ideal balance between sweet and tart, with the deep, molasses-rich notes of the dark rums shining through the bright fruit flavors.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.

  4. Fill a highball glass with fresh ice cubes.
  5. Strain the shaken mixture into the glass.
