Description

These Mini Quiches are the ultimate elegant bite, perfect for holiday parties, bridal showers, or a sophisticated lunch buffet. The secret lies in the golden, flaky pastry shell that holds a velvety, custard-like filling. While traditional quiche Lorraine is classic, these mini versions invite endless creativity. Try a combination of crispy bacon, sautéed mushrooms, and Swiss cheese for a rich, earthy flavor, or opt for a lighter mix of broccoli and sharp cheddar for a vibrant pop of color and taste. Ingredients

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the pie crust dough on a lightly floured surface. Use a round cookie cutter or a small glass to cut out circles large enough to line a standard muffin tin cup.
  3. Press the dough circles gently into the bottom and up the sides of each muffin cup, ensuring they form a small bowl shape. Prick the bottoms with a fork to prevent puffing.
  4. Par-bake the crusts for 10-12 minutes until they begin to set and turn light golden. Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
  5. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and sour cream until smooth and well combined.
  6. Divide your chosen fillings (bacon, mushrooms, onions, cheese, etc.) evenly among the pre-baked crusts. Do not overfill; leave room for the custard.
  7. Pour the egg mixture over the fillings in each cup, filling them about 3/4 full.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the tops are puffed, set, and lightly golden. A knife inserted into the center should come out clean.
  9. Allow to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.

Note

To freeze: Cool completely, wrap tightly in plastic wrap and foil, and freeze for up to 2 months. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight before reheating.

Reheating: Reheat defrosted or leftover quiches in a 400°F (200°C) oven for 10 minutes to restore crispness.

Variations: Experiment with different fillings like spinach and feta, ham and gruyère, or sun-dried tomatoes and goat cheese.
