Description

This Minted Raspberry Cooler is the ultimate thirst-quencher for hot days, combining the bright acidity of lemonade with the sweet-tart depth of fresh raspberries and the aromatic coolness of mint. It&# 226;€™s a refreshing, non-alcoholic beverage that feels sophisticated yet incredibly simple to whip up. The mint infuses the water with a subtle herbal note without overpowering the fruit flavors, creating a balanced and smooth sip. Ideal for garden parties, picnics, or just a relaxing evening at home, this drink serves eight people easily. Ingredients

Directions

  1. Place the fresh mint leaves in a heat-proof pitcher or large bowl.
  2. Pour the boiling water over the mint leaves and let steep for 5 minutes to release the oils.
  3. While the mint steeps, crush the fresh raspberries in a separate bowl. If using frozen raspberries, allow them to thaw slightly or crush them while still frozen.
  4. Add the crushed raspberries and the frozen lemonade concentrate to the mint-infused water.
  5. Stir the mixture vigorously until the lemonade concentrate is fully dissolved and combined with the raspberry and mint flavors.
  6. If desired, add sugar to taste, especially if using tart raspberries, and stir until dissolved.
  7. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a large pitcher filled with crushed ice to remove seeds and mint leaves.
  8. Add the cold water to the pitcher and stir gently to combine and chill the drink further.
  9. Garnish each serving glass with a fresh mint sprig before pouring.

Note

For a stronger mint flavor, gently muddle the mint leaves before adding the boiling water.

If you prefer a smoother texture, strain the drink twice or use a cheesecloth to catch fine raspberry seeds.

This drink can be made ahead of time. Store the strained liquid in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Add ice and garnish just before serving.

Substitute lemonade concentrate with limeade for a different citrus twist.

For an adult version, add a splash of vodka or rum.
