  1. Bring the orange juice and 1/2 cup of water to a boil in a small saucepan.
  2. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the instant couscous.
  3. Cover the saucepan and let the couscous sit for 5 minutes to absorb the liquid.
  4. Meanwhile, place a separate small pan over medium heat and add the remaining 1/2 cup water.
  5. Add the dates, raisins, slivered almonds, and cinnamon to the water.
  6. Sauté the fruit and nut mixture for about 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Fluff the cooked couscous with a fork and transfer it to the pan with the fruit mixture.
  8. Mix everything together well until evenly combined.
