Description

This decadent Mud Pie is the ultimate easy dessert for chocolate lovers. It combines a crunchy Oreo cookie crust with smooth coffee ice cream, rich fudge topping, and a cloud of whipped topping. The flavors are bold and comforting, offering a perfect balance of textures from the crisp crust to the creamy filling. It&# 226;ÂÂs an ideal make-ahead treat for potlucks, family gatherings, or when you need a quick yet impressive dessert. Simply assemble the layers and freeze until firm. Ingredients

Directions

  1. Place 6 Oreo cookies in a blender or food processor with 1 tablespoon of margarine.
  2. Blend on high until the cookies are finely crushed and the mixture resembles wet sand.
  3. Press the cookie mixture firmly into the bottom of a deep pie plate or 9-inch pie dish to form an even crust.
  4. Place the pie crust in the freezer for 2 hours to set.
  5. Remove the crust from the freezer. Soften the coffee ice cream slightly so it is spreadable.
  6. Spread the softened coffee ice cream evenly over the frozen crust.
  7. Spread the fudge topping evenly over the layer of ice cream.
  8. Place the pie back in the freezer for 1 hour to set the fudge layer.
  9. Remove from the freezer and spread the Cool Whip evenly over the fudge layer.
  10. Return the pie to the freezer for at least 1 hour, or until firm enough to slice.
  11. To serve, slice with a knife dipped in hot water for clean cuts.

Note

For best results, let the pie sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes before slicing to ensure a creamy texture.

You can substitute vanilla or chocolate ice cream for the coffee ice cream if preferred.

Garnish with chopped nuts, chocolate shavings, or extra Oreo crumbs just before serving if desired.

Store leftovers in the freezer covered tightly with plastic wrap or foil to prevent freezer burn.

If using butter instead of margarine for the crust, ensure it is softened but not melted.
