Description

This decadent Apple Praline Cheesecake brings the beloved restaurant flavor home. It features a buttery graham cracker crust supporting a luscious, dense cream cheese filling infused with warm cinnamon-spiced apples. The highlight is the homemade praline topping, offering a delightful crunch of toasted pecans and dark brown sugar that contrasts perfectly with the smooth texture of the cake. Ideal for holiday gatherings, birthdays, or any special occasion where you want to impress guests with a sophisticated yet comforting dessert.

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. For the crust, melt the butter. Stir in the graham cracker crumbs and sugar until thoroughly blended.
  3. Press the crust mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared springform pan. Set aside.
  4. For the apple filling, melt the butter in a Dutch oven over low heat.
  5. Add the light brown sugar, diced apples, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice.
  6. Simmer over low heat, stirring occasionally, until apples are soft but still hold their shape.
  7. Remove from heat and allow the apple mixture to cool to room temperature. Set aside.
  8. For the praline topping, mix the dark brown sugar, softened butter, and pecan pieces in a small bowl until well incorporated. Set aside.
  9. For the cheesecake batter, beat the cream cheese and granulated sugar in a large bowl with an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy.
  10. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing until smooth after each addition.
  11. Add the heavy whipping cream and continue beating until the mixture is thick and creamy.
  12. Gently fold the cooled apple mixture into the cheesecake batter by hand until just combined.
  13. Pour the cheesecake batter into the prepared crust in the springform pan.
  14. Spread the praline topping evenly over the top of the batter.
  15. Bake at 350°F (177°C) for 1 hour and 20 minutes, or until the center is almost set.
  16. Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool in the oven with the door slightly ajar for 1 hour to prevent cracking.
  17. Remove from oven and cool completely to room temperature.
  18. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, before removing the sides of the pan and serving.
