  1. Bring 4 1/2 cups of water to a boil in a large pot.
  2. Add the shrimp to the boiling water.
  3. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through.

  5. Chill the shrimp in the refrigerator until ready to use.
