Ingredients

Directions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the condensed cream of mushroom soup, water, chopped onion, wild rice, parsley flakes, sliced mushrooms, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Bring the soup mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.
  3. Meanwhile, open the oven cooking bag and place it in a 15x10-inch baking pan.
  4. Place the cut-up bacon strips at the bottom of the bag.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining uncooked wild rice and sliced mushrooms over the bacon.
  6. Place the halved pheasant on top of the rice and mushrooms.
  7. Pour the hot soup mixture from the saucepan into the bag over the pheasant.
  8. Tie the bag according to package directions and cut six 1-inch slits in the top as directed.
  9. Bake at 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) for 2 to 2-1/2 hours, or until the pheasant is tender and the rice is cooked through.
  10. Carefully open the bag away from your face to release steam. Transfer contents to a serving platter and serve.
