into 1/2" chunks 2 tb Butter 2 c Fresh or canned, drained -pineapple chunks 1/2 ts Ground cinnamon 1/4 ts Ground allspice 1/4 c Pineapple juice or water 3 tb Honey

Place plantain chunks in saucepan of water to

Bring to boiling.

Reduce heat.

Simmer 5 minutes.

Drain.

In a skillet, melt the butter or margarine.

Add plantain pieces.

Saute 2 minutes.

Add pineapple chunks, spices and pineapple juice or water.

cover and simmer 5 minutes more.

Add honey, to taste.

Serve as a dessert or side disk for ham or pork
