Sangrita
Description
Sangrita is a vibrant, refreshing Mexican beverage that serves as the ultimate accompaniment to tequila shots. This recipe blends ripe, peeled tomatoes with fresh orange and lime juices, creating a complex profile that is simultaneously sweet, tart, and spicy. The addition of jalape&# 195;±o or serrano chiles provides a gentle heat, while a touch of sugar and salt balances the acidity perfectly. Unlike cocktails, traditional sangrita is non-alcoholic, allowing the bold flavors of the fresh produce to shine. It is best served cold in a small glass alongside a shot of tequila, where you sip the sangrita immediately after the tequila to cleanse the palate and enhance the experience. Ideal for parties, celebrations, or a sophisticated night in, this drink brings a burst of flavor and energy to any gathering.Ingredients

Note
This drink is traditionally served as a chaser for tequila shots. Drink the tequila first, followed immediately by a sip of sangrita.
For a smoother texture, blend the mixture before straining it through a fine-mesh sieve to remove pulp and seeds.
Adjust the amount of chiles and Tabasco sauce based on your preferred heat level. Serrano chiles are hotter than jalapeños.
Sangrita can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Stir well before serving as separation may occur.
While often called a "hangover remedy," this is due to the electrolytes in tomato and lime juice, not a medical cure. Consume responsibly.
