Description

These hearty manicotti feature tender pasta tubes generously stuffed with a savory blend of ground beef, ground pork, eggs, and cheeses. The filling is seasoned with oregano, onion, and black pepper for a robust flavor profile that pairs perfectly with a tangy spaghetti sauce. Baked until bubbly and golden, this dish offers a comforting, home-style meal that is both satisfying and easy to prepare. It is an ideal choice for weeknight dinners, family gatherings, or meal-prepping for the week ahead. The combination of melted mozzarella and sharp Parmesan creates a creamy, cheesy topping that elevates the simple ingredients into a restaurant-quality main course.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Cook manicotti pasta according to package directions; drain and cool in a single layer on foil.
  2. Heat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (177C).
  3. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and ground pork; drain excess fat.
  4. In a large bowl, stir together the cooked meat, 1 cup mozzarella cheese, eggs, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, onion, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  5. Fill each cooled pasta tube with about 1/4 cup of the meat filling.
  6. Spread a thin layer of spaghetti sauce on the bottom of a 13x9x2-inch glass baking dish.
  7. Place the filled pasta tubes in the prepared baking dish; cover with the remaining spaghetti sauce.
  8. Sprinkle with the remaining 1 cup mozzarella cheese and additional Parmesan cheese, if desired.
  9. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes, or until hot and bubbly.
