  1. Brown the extra lean ground turkey in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Drain the fat from the cooked turkey in a colander and rinse briefly with hot water to remove excess grease.
  3. Place the 12 ounces of crushed tomatoes into the slow cooker pot.
  4. Add 12 ounces of water to the slow cooker.
  5. Add the drained turkey, garlic powder, paprika, cumin, oregano, chili powder, black pepper, ground red pepper, and diced onion to the slow cooker.
  6. Mix all ingredients thoroughly.
  7. Cover and cook on LOW for 5 to 6 hours, stirring occasionally if possible.
  8. In a small bowl, mix the 2 teaspoons of flour with a little water to form a slurry, then add to the chili and mix through to thicken.
  9. Add the red kidney beans, mix well, and let simmer for an additional 30 minutes.
