Description

This International main features free-range chicken thighs cooked with aromatic celery, onion, and peppers. It delivers aromatic, well-seasoned taste, a pleasant kick of heat from cayenne and paprika. Great for weeknight dinners or when you want something satisfying for the whole family. Simple to make with ingredients you likely already have on hand, this is a recipe you will come back to again and again. The dish offers a rich, savory profile with tender meat and soft, flavorful vegetables.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat a large saut&# 195;© pan or skillet over medium-high heat and add a drizzle of oil.
  3. Sear the chicken thighs skin-side down for 5-7 minutes until golden brown and crispy, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes. Remove chicken and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, reduce heat to medium and add the celery, onion, and green peppers.
  5. Sauté the vegetables for 5 minutes until softened and slightly golden.
  6. Stir in the crushed garlic, dried oregano, cayenne pepper, and paprika, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.
  7. Return the chicken thighs to the pan, nestling them into the vegetables.
  8. Pour in enough broth or water to come halfway up the sides of the chicken.
  9. Cover the pan and simmer on low heat for 20-25 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
  10. Uncover and increase heat slightly to reduce the sauce if desired, then serve hot.
