Strawberry Tarts
Description
These Strawberry Tarts are the perfect balance of sweet, creamy, and fruity flavors. The foundation is made from golden, flaky puff pastry shells that provide a delightful crunch. Inside, a luscious mascarpone and whipped cream filling offers a rich, smooth texture that complements the bright acidity of fresh strawberries. A simple strawberry jelly glaze adds a glossy finish and extra sweetness without being overpowering. Ideal for romantic dinners, brunches, or as an impressive yet simple dessert for special occasions, these tarts come together quickly using store-bought pastry to save time. They look as beautiful as they taste, making them a favorite for any gathering where you want to serve something homemade but elegant.Ingredients
Directions
-
Preheat the oven to 400F (200C).
-
Roll out the puff pastry and cut into six circles or squares depending on your tart pans. Press into tartlet molds or muffin tins to form shells.
-
Bake the puff pastry shells according to package directions, usually about 15 minutes, until golden brown and puffed.
-
Remove shells from oven and let them cool completely on a wire rack.
-
In a medium bowl, beat the heavy cream and sugar with an electric mixer on high speed until stiff peaks form.
-
In another medium bowl, combine the mascarpone (or cream cheese) and cherry-flavored liqueur; beat until smooth and soft.
-
Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until just combined.
-
Place a few strawberry halves on the bottom of each cooled pastry shell.
-
Spoon the cream mixture over the strawberries in each shell, filling them to the top.
-
Top each tart with remaining strawberry halves cut into a fan shape or arranged decoratively.
-
In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, warm the strawberry jelly with 2 teaspoons of water until melted and smooth.
-
Brush the warm jelly glaze over the strawberries on top of the tarts for a shiny finish.
-
Garnish with any remaining strawberry pieces if desired and serve immediately.

Note
For a vegan version, ensure the puff pastry is vegan-certified and substitute the mascarpone and heavy cream with vegan alternatives such as coconut cream and vegan cream cheese.
If you do not have cherry-flavored liqueur, you can substitute it with amaretto, Grand Marnier, or simply omit it and add a bit more sugar to the cream cheese mixture.
These tarts are best served fresh. If preparing ahead, assemble the fruit and glaze just before serving to keep the pastry crisp. The cream filling can be made a few hours in advance and stored in the refrigerator.
You can use a muffin tin as a substitute for tartlet molds if you don't have specific tart pans.
