-wedges 2 ts Lemon juice 1 tb Flour 1/3 c White sugar 1/4 c Brown sugar 1/2 ts Cinnamon 1/4 ts Nutmeg 1/4 ts Salt 1/8 ts Ginger 1 tb Butter This scrumptious spicy apple pie is served with a hot brandy sauce. pastry of your choice cream or milk hot brandy sauce (recipe follows) Sprinkle apple wedges with lemon juice and toss well. Combine remaining ingredients except butter, cream and sauce. Line a 9 inch pie plate with half the pastry and sprinkle bottom with 1/3 of the sugar spice mix. Top with half the apple wedges, fitting them in as tightly as possible. Sprinkle with another third of the sugar spice mix. Top with the rest of apples and sprinkle with remaining sugar spice mix. Press gently with your hand, to make it as compact as possible. Dot with butter, and top with remaining pastry. Brush top with cream or milk. Bake in a 425 F (218&# 194;°C) oven 15 minutes.
