Tofu Pecan Cutlets
Description
These Tofu Pecan Cutlets offer a satisfying, plant-based twist on classic fried cutlets. Firm tofu is marinated in a savory blend of tamari, sherry, and toasted sesame oil to infuse deep umami flavor. The cutlets are then coated in a crunchy mixture of breadcrumbs and ground pecans, creating a delightful textural contrast between the tender interior and the crisp exterior. Baking them ensures they are golden brown without excessive oil. Perfect for weeknight dinners, they pair beautifully with roasted vegetables or a fresh salad. This dish is naturally vegan and vegetarian, making it an excellent choice for diverse dietary needs while delivering home-style comfort and rich, nutty aromatics that will please the whole family.Ingredients

Note
Ensure the tofu is pressed before slicing to remove excess water, which helps the marinade adhere better and improves crispiness.
For a gluten-free version, substitute the flour and breadcrumbs with gluten-free alternatives.
Ground pecans can be made by pulsing whole pecans in a food processor until finely chopped but not powdered.
Serve immediately while the crust is still crisp.
