This Turkey & Mozzarella Picnic Loaf is a comforting, handheld meal perfect for gatherings or a cozy lunch. A round sourdough loaf is hollowed out to create a sturdy vessel, then packed with layers of crisp spinach, thinly sliced roast turkey, red onion, tomato, and cucumber. The filling is bound together with Italian dressing and generous amounts of low-moisture mozzarella cheese. Baked until the cheese is bubbly and the bread is warm, this dish offers a delightful contrast of textures: the chewy crust of the sourdough, the tender turkey, and the crisp freshness of the vegetables.
