  1. Soak urad dal and moong dal for 2-3 hours.
  2. Grind dals into a coarse paste.
  3. Add finely chopped onion, salt, coriander powder, chili powder OR green chili, ginger and soda.
  4. Mix well and set aside for 4-5 minutes.
  5. Fry small spoonfuls of the mixture in hot oil.
