Ingredients

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat chicken thighs and legs dry with paper towels.
  3. Pour 1 1/2 cups of yogurt into a wide shallow bowl and set on work surface.
  4. Season bread crumbs with salt and freshly ground pepper.
  5. Spread seasoned crumbs on a platter and place next to the yogurt.
  6. Place a wire rack over a baking sheet and set aside.
  7. Dip each chicken piece into the yogurt, ensuring it is thoroughly coated on both sides.
  8. Roll each yogurt-coated piece in the bread crumbs, pressing gently so crumbs adhere evenly.
  9. Place coated chicken pieces on the wire rack.
  10. Bake chicken for 40-45 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through.
  11. While chicken bakes, make the dipping sauce: Place garlic, onion, ginger, green chilies, sugar, salt, mint, coriander, parsley, and 1 cup yogurt in a blender or food processor.
  12. Pulse the blender on and off until a thin, flecked green sauce is achieved.
  13. To serve, place one chicken piece on each of 4 small plates.
  14. Spoon some dipping sauce in a crescent shape around the edge of each plate.
  15. Place remaining chicken on a platter and serve remaining sauce in a pitcher.
  16. Serve hot or at room temperature.
