Directions

  1. Undiluted.
  2. /2 c Boiling water 1 c Canned sliced mushrooms>>>> Liquid from mushrooms.
  3. /2 c Chopped celery 1 tb Margarine,rounded--pareve 1 tb Flour 1 tb Chopped onion 1 tb Chopped green pepper 1 tb Chopped parsley Salt & peper to taste Liquid vegetable shortening
  4. Cut chicken in to 8 pcs.
  5. Season with salt and peper and dredge with flour.
  6. Pour enough shortening into lge.
  7. skillet to cover bottom and heat to 375 F (191&# 194;°C).
  8. Slowly brown chicken on both sides, keeping skillet covered.
  9. Remove and set aside.
  10. In separate lge.
  11. saucepan, melt margarine; add onion and flour; brown lightly.
  12. Stir in tomato soup and water; mix well.
  13. Add parsley, green pepper, and celery.
  14. Bring to a rolling boil; add chicken.
  15. Lower flame and cook slowly about 1 1/2 to 2 hrs.
  16. until chicken is tender.
  17. Cook mushrooms in liquid for 15 min; add to chicken.
  18. Raise heat and bring mixture to boil once.
  19. Remove and serve
