In a bowl, mix together the ground pork, beaten egg, 1 tablespoon of cornstarch, five-spice powder, 1 tablespoon of minced scallions, 1/2 teaspoon of sugar, 1/4 teaspoon of sesame oil, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt until well combined.
