  1. : trimmed : MARINADE 1 c coconut milk 1 ts turmeric 1 ts curry powder 2 ts nam pla (fish sauce) : SAUCE 2 TB curry paste 1 c thick coconut milk 3 TB crunchy peanut butter STEP ONE:
  2. PREPARE MEAT
  3. Cut beef fillet in slices, then
  4. cut slices into thin strips and thread on to bamboo skewers.
  5. STEP TWO:
  6. PREPARE MARINADE
  7. Mix marinade ingredients together,
  8. pour into a shallow tray and
  9. place sat ays in marinade.
  10. Marinade for at least 2 hours, turning from time to time so they are coated with the marinade on all sides.
  11. STEP THREE: TO
  12. MAKE SAUCE
  13. Fry curry paste in a frying pan for a few minutes,
  14. add coconut
  15. cream and
  16. heat well.
  17. Add peanut butter and stir until all ingredients are well com bined.
  18. STEP FOUR: TO COOK SATAYS Cook satays on barbecue, turning once.
  19. They should only take a few minut es.
  20. Serve with sauce.
