Indulge in the ultimate comfort treat with this Chocolate Peanut Butter Ribbon Fudge. This decadent dessert features a creamy peanut butter base swirled with a rich, smooth chocolate layer, creating a visually stunning ribbon effect that is as delicious to eat as it is to look at. The combination of sweet, salty, and chocolatey flavors provides a perfect balance of texture and taste. Ingredients

Directions

  1. Line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper or heavy-duty aluminum foil, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.
  2. In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine the peanut butter and 2 tablespoons of butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth and pourable. Set aside.
  3. In a separate medium bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and the remaining 4 ounces (1/2 cup) of butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each, until completely melted and smooth.
  4. In a large heavy-bottomed saucepan, combine the granulated sugar and evaporated milk. Stir to combine.
  5. Place the saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture comes to a full rolling boil.
  6. Reduce heat to medium-low and continue boiling without stirring for exactly 4 minutes, or until the mixture reaches the soft-ball stage (234&# 194;°F (112°C) (116°C)to 240°F) on a candy thermometer.
  7. Remove the saucepan from heat. Immediately stir in the marshmallow creme and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
  8. Pour the hot sugar mixture into the prepared pan. Quickly pour the peanut butter mixture over half of the sugar base and the chocolate mixture over the other half.
  9. Using a knife or skewer, gently swirl the two colors together to create a ribbon effect. Do not overmix, or the colors will blend into brown.
  10. Allow the fudge to cool at room temperature for at least 2 hours, or until completely set and firm.
  11. Lift the fudge out of the pan using the foil overhang. Cut into 25 equal squares using a sharp knife.
