Description

This Coffee Liqueur Cream Pie is a decadent, no-bake dessert that brings together the comforting richness of chocolate and vanilla ice cream with the sophisticated kick of coffee liqueur. The crust, made from crushed chocolate sandwich cookies and butter, provides a crunchy, sweet base for the smooth, creamy filling. Layers of chocolate and vanilla ice cream, each softened and mixed with liqueur, create a visually stunning and texturally delightful contrast. Topped with crunchy Heath candy bars and a swirl of sweetened whipped cream, this pie is perfect for potlucks, holiday gatherings, or any occasion calling for an indulgent treat. It requires no oven time, making it an easy yet impressive dessert to prepare.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Crush the chocolate sandwich cookies into fine crumbs and mix with melted butter until evenly coated.
  2. Press the cookie mixture firmly into the bottom and sides of a 9-inch pie pan to form a crust.
  3. Place the pie pan in the freezer to chill while you prepare the filling.
  4. Let the chocolate ice cream soften at room temperature for about 10-15 minutes until scoopable.
  5. Stir 1/4 cup of coffee liqueur into the softened chocolate ice cream until well combined.
  6. Spoon the chocolate ice cream mixture into the chilled crust and spread evenly.
  7. Sprinkle half of the crushed Heath candy bars over the chocolate layer.
  8. Place the pie back in the freezer for 1 hour to firm up the first layer.
  9. Soften the vanilla ice cream at room temperature for 10-15 minutes.
  10. Stir the remaining 1/4 cup of coffee liqueur into the softened vanilla ice cream.
  11. Spoon the vanilla ice cream mixture over the frozen chocolate layer and spread evenly.
  12. Sprinkle the remaining crushed Heath candy bars over the top of the vanilla layer.
  13. Freeze the pie overnight or for at least 6 hours until firm.
  14. Let the pie stand at room temperature for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
  15. Garnish each slice with a dollop of sweetened whipped cream and a drizzle of coffee liqueur.
