Lemon & Thyme Marinade
Description
This vibrant Lemon and Thyme Marinade is the perfect companion for grilled or roasted chicken. The combination of fresh lemon juice and fragrant thyme creates a balanced flavor profile that is both tangy and earthy. It works exceptionally well on rich cuts like chicken thighs, though it also enhances bone-in breasts. The acidity helps tenderize the meat while adding a burst of freshness that cuts through the richness. Ideal for summer barbecues or weeknight dinner preparations, this simple mixture requires minimal effort for maximum impact. Simply whisk the ingredients together and let the chicken soak in the flavors for a delicious, restaurant-quality result at home.Ingredients

Note
This tangy marinade contains equal amounts of lemon juice and oil. It is particularly good for rich meats like chicken thighs. It can also be used for chicken breasts, but their skin should be on for additional protection during grilling or broiling.
Thyme gives this marinade a flavor loved in France, but you can substitute oregano for an Italian or Greek accent, or mint or cilantro for a Lebanese touch.
Makes about 1/4 cup, enough for about 1 1/2 to 2 lbs poultry.
