In each quart jar (regular jar is ok but wide mouth is better) pack the following: Wash Asparagus and trim to a uniform length that will fit into jars about 1 inch below the rim. Pack asparagus into the jars with the point end up toward top of jar. Bring water and vinegar mixture to a boil. Pour vinegar and water mixture into each jar leaving 1/2 inch headroom in jars. Seal jars. Process in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes. The asparagus needs to sit in jars 4 weeks before eating
