Directions

  1. Seasoned flour 10 fl Guinness or other stout 10 fl Stock or water Pinch of nutmeg Salt and pepper Fat for frying
  2. Cut meat into fairly large chunks and
  3. roll in seasoned flour.
  4. Brown in hot fat and remove from pot.
  5. Chop onions roughly and fry gently for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Return meat to pot.
  7. Add all other ingredients.
  8. Bring to the boil, reduce heat and simmer gently for 2 hours or until meat is tender
